Coun. Stephen Adams (Spryfield-Sambro Loop-Prospect Road) said the city shouldn’t be cutting any deals for a company that won a $25-billion national shipbuilding contract.
He said if Irving appealed their property tax bill, the municipality should have been prepared to go to court.
“We took on the federal government and we won,” Adams said, referring to the Citadel Hill property tax dispute. “I don’t understand why we’re not willing to at least challenge this corporation.”
